(Welland, Ontario) – La Boîte à soleil’s Board of Directors are pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Christina Clark as Executive Director. Ms. Clark, currently the Assistant Director and will assume the position officially on October 3, 2022. This nomination follows the announcement of the departure of the current Executive Director, Ms. Veronique Emery, who has held this position since 2014. Ms. Emery will be leaving her position on September 30 to take on new professional challenges as a “Shared Services Coordinator” for l’AFÉSEO (Association francophone à l’éducation des services à l’enfance de l’Ontario). Ms. Clark, an experienced manager in the early childhood field, will now be responsible for ensuring the sound administration of the organization and the updating of its strategic plan.
With a diploma in Early Childhood Education (Niagara College) and a certificate in Child Care Administration (Collège Boréal), Ms. Clark has extensive experience in the sector. Over the course of her career at La Boîte à soleil, which began in 2006, Ms. Clark has served as an Educator, Assistant Supervisor, Supervisor, Program Coordinator and, since 2014, Assistant Director. In this capacity, she has overseen the operations of La Boîte à soleil’s educational centers, in addition to supporting the supervisors and their teams. Always full of energy, dedicated to La Boîte à soleil and passionate about the world of early childhood, she accepted to take the reins of the organization. “I am so honored to have been entrusted with the leadership of this fine organization,” said Ms. Clark.
