Letter from Minister Caroline Mulroney – Francophone Community Grants Program

Toronto, June 24, 2020

Good morning,

I am pleased to inform you that the application period for the 2020-21 edition of the Francophone Community Grants Program was officially launched today and will run until August 5, 2020.

The 2020-21 Program has a funding envelope of $1 million and two funding streams: a “Community and Culture” stream open to incorporated not-for-profit organizations and an “Economic Development” stream open not only to private sector businesses but now also to not-for-profit organizations involved in economic development.

I am keenly aware that your organizations are having to face significant challenges due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on your operations. We are therefore pleased to be able to launch this program today in order to facilitate access to funding.

I encourage you to visit the Program’s web page at ontario.ca/getfunding to learn about this year’s criteria and assess whether your organization is eligible. Take this opportunity to register for one of the information sessions we will be offering online starting in late June.

Please share this message with your members, colleagues and networks to help us reach as many organizations and businesses eligible to benefit from this program.

Thanks to you, the Francophone Community Grants Program will continue to support the cultural and business vitality of the Francophone population, especially in these difficult times

Sincerely,

Caroline Mulroney

Minister of Francophone Affairs
